The Swing Song Tradition, pioneered by Billie Holiday, revolutionized jazz singing while delivering a number of fetching ensemble and instrumental solo devices. The Swing Song Tradition will be brought back by Phil Schaap's band-all-star talent that will include special guests.

Performers:

Joe Wilder, trumpet
Wycliffe Gordon, trombone
John Bunch, piano
Greg Cohen, bass

"Carol Sloane, a superb performer, projects the sort of serene musical overview and common sense that many better-known singers struggle for a lifetime to attain."
